This week, the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) sent a letter to Senators Tom Udall (D-NM) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) to express support and appreciation for their efforts on the proposed listing of the Lesser Prairie Chicken (LPC). Last week, the Senators sent a bipartisan letter to Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) Dan Ashe, urging the department to extend the public comment period for an additional six months and to temporarily delay a final listing decision of the LPC.
